Meeting to be held in the Fellowship Room of Humboldt Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 24th, 7:30 pm. A representative of the national advocacy group Stop Predatory Gambling will be here to inform residents of our Logan Square community about the potential harm that video poker gambling would bring to our community and its families.
Specifically, Mayor Daley and the City Council might surprise us and seek to end the current city ban on video poker gambling. The meeting on March 24th will help us to become informed, alert and responsive to such a development. This will help us to keep the issue in front of our Alderman Rey Colón.
